Go on then if you were to recommend to someone to use a certain action or a filter... what would it be?

Tough one that. Selective masks scare so many people but are so useful once mastered. I love using multiply layers to boost contrast.
Filters, I only use USM and photo filters.

I've got a few actions I use including a couple I've recorded:

High Pass Sharpening which doesn't introduce any noise.
Colour Boost using Lab mode.

Some I've downloaded:
Edgarian Blur
Midnight Sepia
Midnight Black
Velvia
B&W with which you can go back and adjust levels and curves if required.

A good source for free actions is Action Central (http://www.atncentral.com/)

I agree with the high pass sharpening it is a doozie.

I also like to magic wand the sky and adjust the levels to bring out the colours and clouds that sometimes are lost in the metering for backlit situations.

Use the delete button more often. :D

You'd have even more people trying to break in to your recycle bin:lol:
