hi, ive got the 18-135mm kit lens, the nikon 50mm1.4,and the sigma 10-20mm.now all i realy need is a dedicated macro can anyone suggest one. my body is the D80. price is not too much of a problem as her indoors is a bit flush at the moment and in a good mood for a change.

I went with the Sigma 150mm f2.8 Ive been playing with it properly today, and im very pleased with the results so far. What do you normally shoot? Insects or flowers etc? If its insects, then you probably don't want a lens much shorter than 150mm as you have to get too close to them.

as for what im going to shoot, usualy what ever comes on the day.never go out with anything specific in mind so a 150mm should cover just about anything.what i want to do is get the kit now and learn as i shoot, hopefully ill start to post some pics when ive gota bit of courage .thanks for your time
Nikon 105 2.8....I have this and it's a great lens....has VR too.

VR for macro seems kind of pointless to me, but anyway... go for the sigma 150mm
