View Full Version : spots of light
My personal dark cloud that has been hanging around since the year started has been moving off of late and inspired by all the great work and passion posted here, something amazing happend.
I woke up this morning and just wanted to go out and shoot some images for the first time, well this year at least. Without anyone paying me too.
Only had about a half hour to spare, so I stopped by a little wooded area to play with the light filtering though the trees.
None are anything to get excited about but since it's you lot that got me back out there, thought I'd show 'em.
They're in here

Some very nice shots there old bean - lovely thoughtful use of light and shade. :)
Curiously, the one you hot linked to is probably the last I'd have chosen. :D
You can't put a price on just wanting to get out there and do it can you? Unfortunately, it doesn't pay the rent, but what a great feeling it is. :)
CT does it again! The joy of peeping over the edge of that black hole outways just about all. Sod the rent (joke-pay it) but keep the joy flowing for as long as poss.. Some of us do know what its like down there and celebrate with you when the light finds a way.
I agree.. the light in those shots is magic..............you havent lost it (whatever it was you had!! :D  )
Just what I have been doing lately......it's nice to just go out and shoot whatever, especially when a little dappled light is involved.
Very nice captures, you've certainly not lost your touch, even though you may have been out of it ;)
and celebrate with you when the light finds a way.
Those that know me, know that I'm not a person given to gushing typed feelings but I'd like to say a real heartfelt thanks to the community here.
This year has been my darkest time and while I've not been a huge contributor here, I have been passing by and keeping an eye on what people have been shooting. This week the light did at last find a way and by feeding on the passion for making images and the warmth that brings to this community, I made images just because I could for the first time in nearly 8 months.
To have visions of images form again in my mind was euphoric. I was begining to think that I wasn't going to re-discover the passion and photography would never be more than a way to make money now.
So thank you TP people, now I can be an artist again and not just a translator of other peoples ideas. :D
...... and CT, your right that is the weakest of the bunch but it really was totally random.
