well

we are goign to cornwall for a week in a fortnight (shhhh its a surprise for the kids)

if any body has any ideas for some photo ops down there I would apreciate the heads up.

I think it is very likely that we will be doing the stone circle run (we did a few of them the first time we went 4 years ago)

and perhaps a couple of the old tin mine buildings

and beaches (but im very nervous about the sand and camera situation)

The coast offers some of the best photo ops in Cornwall. I wouldn't worry about changing lenses on the beach unless there's a lot of wind knocking the sand into the air. Just about anywhere up on the moors is also ridiculously photogenic.

Where abouts are you staying?

Delete if this is considered hijacking, but im going to North Devon in 2 weeks and would also love it if anybody knew any places!

- In cornwall, get yourself off to Sennen cove, which is about 1mile from lands end. Its a beautiful little spot away from all the main touristy things. that said, you cant beat St. Ives and also for great photo opportunities, try and see a play at the Minack theater which is open air and over looking the sea.

You need to drive up the top of the hill where there are some guys who have a private bit of land who let you park all day for £2. Its about a 20 min walk from the town!

don't know much about Cornwall but for north Devon there is Clovelly, Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton sands, Arlington court, Rosemoor gardens, Instow beach, and lots more I cant think of right now.

Stumbled across Tony Howell's site a couple of months ago, some really superb stuff on there.

In fact, the inspiration from his site and yours is largely responsible for the shots I recently posted in the landscapes forum, which are far better than anything I've shot before. So thanks!
