Finally got round to getting it collected, out of the box and charged.

Feels good and everything is where my fingures expect it to be.

Fired off a few (50 ish) shots to see what it could do and thought Meh!!, my G7 and S3 are similar. So i went and got them both out, did the same shots with all three, loaded them up to view................


OH MY GOD!!!!!, What a difference - why have i messed around for so long with the bridge cameras convincing myself i didn't need/want a DSLR. :shrug:

The DOF control is great, the clarity is fantastic.

LOVE IT!!!! :love: :love:


Will post some shots when i have something worth posting.

I'm still on my bridge camera - the fuji s5600. Slowly saving up for my DSLR...

Me too!, i ended up with the Oly, as it was the only one that felt 'right' in my hands (If you know what i mean) and that's half the battle with a camera.

First impressions are good, just need some good weather and the pics of the hamster doing 'Mission Impossible' are not what i would want to post :)

Hell of a lot of settings to do with compression / Noise reduction / Noise filter etc that i need to read up on and learn how to use.

Any idea on the 2nd hand value of a mint Canon G7 / Canon S3 (Need to sell to raise the funds!!)

Selling used electronics is provin more difficult hese days then ever. I would recommend watching some auctions a judge from there.

Welcome to the DSLR world. It is both refreshingly satisfying and exspensive.

Used to love my OM2 and OM4, congrats on the new cam. :)
