Taken on my recent trip to the Highlands. Click any of them for a larger version.

1. Either her off-camera chum has told a joke or she thinks I look a complete berk - either way, something's making her laugh.

2. Duck near Loch Morlich (taken with the 70-300 Tamron. Took a bit of fiddling to remove some CA amongst the sand near it's feet)

3. Another Loch Morlich short with the 70-300. This was one of the sharpest that still showed some wing movement.

No. 1 - lovely expression but what a shame about the amputated ear and the slice of the other sheeps face on the right. Nice and sharp though.

No. 2 would be my favourite - nice shot of a mallard (?) in its natural habitat...showing so clearly that fantastic bluey-purple bar.

No 3 - nice action in there but sadly the bit of wing, I assume, in the bottom just proves too much of a distraction for me. Perhaps try a closer crop and then clone where necessary?

Thanks for the responses - tricky things these fauna!

I was walking past the field as they were gamboling (or is that lambs, and if it is did I spell it correctly?!) so didn't have time to really frame properly. Cropping the other sheep out made the image look unbalanced. Anyway, I thought I'd got away with it by mentioning the second sheep in the description ;)

Same goes for the tern - trying to get the hang of the 300mm lens.
