Oh, and forgot to say congratulations Angi, excellent shot...
Wish I'd have had a photogenic family member to hand, it'd certainly have saved a few harsh words I had from the general populace!
It's a great pic and well done for winning - but doesn't getting family members to pose kind of make it not a 'street' photo? I know it's a loose definition.

Thats okay, she wasn't posing for me, I was supposed to be taking architecture photographs but sneaked this, much to her disgust - she hates it and to be honest I didn't expect to get a single vote. Can't believe it won the round, IMO there were better entries, its strange how it turns out sometimes.
Thanks so much guys for your kind words and votes ;)

It was my daughter, but she had no idea I was taking her photograph as I was photographing the architecture around us mainly ;)
big congratulations...and a fine distinct feel for tone and mood
Unfortunately we have discovered irregularities in the voting for the August round of POTY. Therefore, we have no option other than to disqualify the winning entry.
We would like to make it clear that we have no indication at this time that this was anything to do with Zarozinia. Nonetheless, the outcome is the same and with this in mind a new thread will be started to announce the winner. Additional safeguards have also been put in place beind the scenes to ensure the same cannot happen again.
