Very nice, adult male woody in great detail... should be some youngsters around as well.
The Greenfinch has a nice look about him.
cheers,
Andy

tfs always a pleasure:thumbs:
I do like #1 & #2 but its #3 all the way for me too Tim.
The green background really sets off his colours and the fine feather detail that youve caught so well, lovely!

4 is the pick for me, although 3 isn't far behind, I think if 3 had just a gnats crochet more empty space to the right it would really sing:)
Lucky git Tim! These are crackers mate. I hope you don't mind me saying -you seem to tend to crop to the size of the bird, when leaving a little more room would result in a more pleasing shot. :)

Very nicely captured Tim ... ... lovely detail and well sharp in all cases ...
We have youngsters being fed in our garden daily at the mo ... :D ... always by the male adult ... ... and nearly always out of shot ... :nono: ... except when the camera is miles away ...
:agree: ... with comments about leaving space around the bird ... ;) ... especially the extremely polite one from Cedric ... :suspect:

Yep, that's a youngster in flight. Very nicely done, as they're not birds to fly slowly...and they're birds that 'bounce' as they fly.
cheers,
Andy
Good capture Tim - those sort of shots are usually a half chance - or less.
Very cool mate!
As sadi above, no.3 is quite a tight crop.
