I have just had a play with Noise ninja and it seems very good. Can anyone recommend another program or let me know how you find NJ before I buy a licence?

Thanks:)

neat image? there is another one but I'll be jiggered if I can remember what it's called.

Photoshop had a goodish NR filter too.

I always used to use NN when I had the panasonic fz30. Found it to be great really for what it does.

Remember though that any use of NR software will reduce the sharpness of your shots and remove fine detail to a degree.

I always thought Canon had very low noise levels anyway?

I've had a go with the community edition of this which is free but there are others to choose from.

I use noiseware free edition and reckon it's just fine.

Cool, thanks for the suggestions, i'll try a few of them out. As for the noise issue, I was taking pictures indoors and needed a fast shutter speed so had to set the camera to ISO 1600. :)

Here's a couple of samples of before and after of the same shot unfiltered and then filtered with Noiseware Community Free Edition - just click on the pics for the full size editions which will really show the difference.

Only thing with the Free edition is no Exif data preserved and it compresses the saved files, but the full Non Pro version is only $30 ( £15).
