LOL. I never get bored mate - I could do it all day - every day.:woot:

Funnily enough - the cock Sparrow was a half chance- landed and took off in an instant, so I wasn't expecting much from it tbh.

I agree - get much pleasure from watching the antics around the feeder and table. The sparrow (humble or not) is super!

Number 1 is the winner. Superb shots. Its razor blade sharp, the light is perfect and subtle, the composition couldn't be bettered and to top it off, the little fella has posed in a great stance for you. Any chance of the exif data for that one? What kit were you using? I saw a yellowhammer yesterday.. thought I had seen some really rare bird until my parents identified it for me. Shame I only had a 150mm lens, as I really could have done with about 400mm at least to get a good shot. When my TC turns up though I hope to join you in a bit of the old 'birding'.:)

The shot was at 700mm (500L with 1.4TC) 1/160 at f5.6 400 ISO. Taken probably at around 20 feet off a tripod.

A Yellowhammer would be a rare treat for me - my birds are all townies - they need a cough and spit in the morning before they get moving.

quality shots CT, just quality... tried some first 'bird' shots at the weekend in Dartmouth, loads of nesting swallows, boy do they swoop and dive quickly ...
