Found this while lying among the Heather today.
Quite a flighty thing it was too.

Thanks for confirming my id. These things can vary in marking quite a bit.
As to lying about. I am often lying on the ground looking for macro shots or with another lens. Roe deer. Yesterday though the hip/back was bad & both shoulders were very sore making holding a camera steady difficult. Even resorted to a walking stick by the afternoon! So I was glad to lie down for a wee while. Auld age disnae come its sell.

The lovely deep colours of the background make this really stand out, sawman..... great shot. :thumbs:
