Hi,

Did anyone get onto the grid?

If so did anyone take any pics of Kiyo? The reason I ask is because a friend was his brolly girl and wanted some pics of the day

Thought this place was a good place to ask

Cheers

the london bikers website has galleries taken by pro togs and always includes grid shots, but the croft ones are not loaded yet.

Did anyone get onto the grid?

I doubt it!

Thats more heavily policed than the Korean DMZ!

Double Red, London Bykers (on acid) and about 3 other people are all that are allowed on the grid.

Didn't think it was that bad

I though aslong as you had correct passes you were good to go

No, grid access is really tight on BSB - over and above season accreditation is grid access. They have a hard limit to the number of togs and camera crew people on the grid and thats that - they won't budge an inch on it.

Apparently its to do with H&S, but its probably more to do with keeping the numbers down to ensure the TV coverage hits its start times.

at each round though members of the public (those insured with MCE i think) are allowed on the grid, in limited numbers, along with that they can get the chance for pillion rides around the circuit. its a bit of a lottery though as you can imagine.

They have more access in that sense than 90% of us track togs. Many of us don't even have pit lane access. BSB has some downright odd media restrictions, perhaps overstepping the level of the championship in my opinion (when you consider we get Grid access for WTCC and DTM).

But there we go, London Bikers are a nice bunch and i would recommend you use them over Double red.

Another route you could pursue - if you are Keith Flint you can get on the grid.

Any good at starting fires?

I had pit lane and grid last year for BSB . . they took it off me this season . . With no reason given(even when I asked them) :( It's easier to get grid/pit lane for Moto GP and WSBK than BSB . . I have some shots of Kiyo on the grid at WSBK if they are any good to you . .. ?

She was only on the grid at croft unfortunately

Thanks for the offer though

Is she going to either of the remaining rounds . . ?

Don't think so, only did croft as it was local

Will check and confirm though
