Awful light today but managed these two apart from all the ones which went straight in the bin. :gag:

Both at 1000mm with that 'rubbishy' 2X TC everyone talks about, 800 ISO 1/200 at f8

Out if interest what's your general PP flow?

Thankee kindly. Very little processing actually. Typically I often do nothing at all in RAW (RSP) These pics were so flat due to the light that I just boosted the shadow contrast slightly. Then it's PSP 7 as a TIFF where I rarely do more than adjust contrast or gamma slightly and sharpen. Sometimes I apply NR, but didn't to either of these.

Nice shots, first is really sweet, There appears to be lots of chaffinch in our garden lately.

so your telling us that most of your shots come out the camera that good...
