The 'Official' London Hawk Thread

:D In the pub yesterday we agreed NOT to bore you all with different threads covering our non-sunrise city meet in London, but to have a thread here for our Hawk shots, and another should follow in general for the other stuff....in theory ;)

Anyway, the Harris hawk - this gorgeous fella was posing for the few people that are around in London at 7am on a Sunday morning, whilst pretending to do his paid for job of preventing the pigeons and magpies from nesting in and around londons historic buildings. I am quite sure the other guys got some better pics than me, but I figured if I started the thread, it can only improve as it goes along :nuts:

I think that's a perfectly decent shot of a lovely bird :)

TBH, I was going to pp the background, but changed my mind on the last minute. Taken in context, I quite liked the shot, a 'wild' bird in a very obvious city environment. Not to worry though, I have a few with trees in the background too, I just like the 'contrast' in this one, so decided to keep it like that - had it been the only shot, I would definately have agreed with you! ;)
