Having a wander round Ellesmere Lake and heard a rustling in the undergrowth.

Yep Tis a vole, voles look like mice that have had a punch on the nose :D smaller ears and closer set eyes Oh and shorter tails

Yep, have to agree with the expert [well snakes eat small rodents dont they? :lol: ] looks like a vole to me! Nice capture too, they are generally very shy.

Awww! he's so cute ... the only Vole Ive seen are roadkill!
