These were all shot waiting for the bee to return so are a little noisy as I didn't want to fiddle with camera settings and miss the main attraction.

c&c welcomed as always.

I'm off to scotland next week so expect photo's of tics and midges mostly ;)

2 for me. 3 could have been great if it had a bit more dof, or you had focused back a bit, so that the entire beetle was in focus, but the leaf not.

I still haven't quite figured the DoF thing field in relation to macro. I tend to forget that it gets narrower the closer you get. I'm not manual focusing at the moment as I don't trust my dodgy myopia and the dioptre adjustment on the d200. I have tried but they all seem to come out very OoF. May have to invest in a dioptre correction lens....

How's your vision sir?

Ah, you'll be needing the special 'rhinosquintyeye' adjustment lens then sir!
