Nice shot and nice focus on the eye. Exif says aperture was f2.8. If you can persuade the camera to reduce that to say f5.6 or f8 you will get more of it in focus.

My aim was to get the eyes in focus, I shall experiment next time with apertures.

Nice shot Richard, love the colour of the bug & background.
I think I'd prefer to see more space for the bug to look into rather than space behind though.

I was thinking exactly the same as Robetp i.e. the DOF looks very narrow, apart from that, the rest falls into place quite nicely.
