The first two lack a sense of purpose, no real interest. Your foreground is also underexposed a little bit.
the last one is a little better but it could still do with 'something' - a focal point, something of interest.
I'm also new here, so will be gentle.
My only thought is what is the point of focus, what is the main subject? 1 & 2 look like the type of scenes that were breath-taking when you were there, but don't reflect that on camera. I'd also boost the green a bit more, but then I've come from using Velvia film which was well saturated in the greens.
As has been said - the first two need a subject. You also need to get above the foreground tall grass to get some perspective. Have a read of the rule of thirds thread in the tutorials section as that would improve the horizon position.
The last one is the best but the trees on the left look more like they got in the way than create an interesting border (if that was the idea). I want to see what is down the ditch and where that path leads to so you may have been able to construct a better shot from the other side of those trees?
thanks for the comments, all constructive, will have to rethink these shots. I mainly showed the first 2 because I like the sky in both of the shots.
I agree with everything everyone has said, but I still like No1 and I'm not sure why? :D

Yeah try getting down lower and taking a shot through the grass maybe, creating some intrest in the foreground. Nice sky though!!
cheers for your comments and tips all:thumbs:

Agree with RobertP and #3 my favourite.
With 1 or 2 adjustments it could be a real corker!

Like the cloud formations, just needs more exposure me reckons for the first 2.
It helps to have an interesting object in the foreground. A tree trunk, rock, gate post, a person etc. The third one is best because it has the wall in the foreground and your eye is led into the centre of the image firstly by the road and then the footpath.
