View Full Version : New Sigma lenses for Nikon
http://www.sigmaphoto.com/news/news.asp?nID=3342
18-50mm F3.5 - F5.6 DC HSM
55-200mm F4-F5.6 DC HSM
Basic kit lenses but with HSM as standard. Possible that all future lenses come with HSM if these 2 have been built with it.
I wonder if they'll be re-doing the 24-70 F2.8 with HSM soon. If so, order will be placed as soon as.....

I certainly wouldn't be suprised if all new lenses were made with AF-S or HSM focusing systems. Could do with the nifty fifty being updated soon.:)

Rumor has it Nikon have already finalized a new 50mm AF-S G f/1.2. But obviously time will tell.
As for the Sigma's. Its a clever step considering the Nikon D40/x needs SWM/HSM to auto-focus.

50mm AF-S G f/1.2.
Thats going to be stupidly expensive though - £700-800 most probably, depending on the IQ.

I wouldnt say clever, it's exactly what we've all been expecting as soon as Nikon announced the D40 spec. :)
