Cover Girl Headshot [Archive]

I was ask by a London model agency to do some head shots of Sam, we were going for a cover girl look. This is the first one i've done so far. I will post some more when i've done them. David

Lurve this look - I think this is excellent. Secrets of PS layering please! I've tried a few like this but not with this great result.

Hmm. Covering the face partially with her hand might not be such a good idea for a headshot for the modelling agency? :shrug:

Beautiful shot, great lighting - spoilt by the hand - (IMO) would be better either out of shot or perhaps resting on the shoulder. :)

Think you may have over-done the skin smoothing a tad though

Agree with the comments re the hand in the first shot. The 2nd shot is lovely, and there's something niggling me about the third shot but I don't know what :thinking: She looks very much like Catherine Zeta Jones don't you think?

Yes Zeta Jones did spring to mind.... drools :)
Lovely shots, the one with the hand covering her face could be used for a nail ad etc, coloured of course with varnish. A deep red would look nice.
I like them all and would also like to know the layers secret :)

I like these very much ... and Sam is looking just beautiful.
I think you've definately done her justice here David!

With the 1st shot, I dont think its so much the hand... as the arm being so straight up, a mistake I make myself & keep trying to remind myself to look out for in my own shots!

I really like the 3rd shot but it doesnt feel as clear as the other two, dont know how to explain it except to say... its almost as if theres a slight white layer over it which spoils the clarity but that aside, its a very nice shot.

I can see the CZJ connection too ... beautiful girl and a good job done of showing it off by you, imo. :thumbs:
