First one is well exposed, perhaps a little soft. Focus looks to be out on the second one, but again, well exposed.

I suppose my main criticsim is that you say he is a young musician, yet without your description we wouldn't know this. Perhaps including his instruments would have given more context?

I like the third one best....context obvious now and I like this style.

Nah the second one is definitely soft or out of focus. The first one, maybe just a tad soft. They don't seem crisp.

Added a little contrast and a 2nd 40% USM in Lab and 5% brightening. :thumbs::thumbsdown: Focus is on the eyes very shallow DOF.

Seems like you've overcooked on the sharpening of the 2nd one now though
Background and foregrounds in 3 distract and as *** have said lack of context of instruments make them more candid snaps imho.
