I was up at Gretna Green this morning, and I saw this piper. I didn't have a camera with me, so I used my mobile.
3.2mp, heavily cropped to focus on piper.
Colour, sharpness and saturation all look pretty good!

It's only 5 mins up the road, and they have a really good farm shop in the complex. The home made pies are the best on the face of this planet! Galloway beef, in mushroom and ale sauce. Mmmmmm delicious:D

I've cleaned his gaiters for him:lol:
Nice shot, especially for a camera phone!
My phone is an SVGA jobbie (Samsung E800 that I won a few years ago), and a few weeks ago I bought my wife a Samsung E900 with 2MP camera, and I found the difference astonishing.
Is it me or does the colour temp look a little blue though?
Nice shot i was thinking of getting the k800i or the samsung d900 whats your thoughts on the joystick and have you had any trouble with it and the other thing is do you catch the internet button by mistake when its in your pocket oh and does the camera cover keep sliding open :)
Thanks Rich

This is the K800i.
The joystick is fine, easy to oprate, and very positive.
I have the key lock on automatic, so it locks after about 10 secs. No problem with accidentally hitting buttons in your pocket.
I have a silicone cover on the phone, which makes it almost impossible to open the lens cover by accident. As the silicone cover is a little 'sticky', you have to make a conscious effort to open the cover. The covers are ony a couple of pounds to buy - I have had one on my iPod for a couple of years, and they are great. They offer a LOT of protection, especially if you drop your phone, or iPod!
Thanks doug I think i might get the k800i then i have read its the best camera phone on the market and by your post of the piper it looks pretty good to me  Thanks again :)

I have to admit, that I was impressed with the quality. The full sized image was a little soft, but when I cropped it and used USM, it looked far better. It's an amazing little camera, and has a rich feature set better than many £200 compacts.
I suppose that's why Sony put 'Cybershot' on the camera section. It's the first ever 'Cybershot' phone.
Your white balance is off :p I've had the same phone for a year and I don't really plan on getting the new k850i because its basically the same phone with a 5mp camera. 3mp is good enough now for those casual shots and looks great on the web. I'll be looking at the w960i as its the same camera and flash but with wifi a better screen and 8gb memory.

Shorn
It's not a bad bit of kit, even though it is a bit bloated with stuff you'll never use.
I keep a 1gb card in mine which is great for fotos and music.
On a side note......make sure it's on the latest firmware as mine used to have a nasty habit of locking up if i tried to use the camera with the keylock on.
My k750i did :D
Same here.:D

I am excited now. Went in to the phone shop on Monday to look at an upgrade and got talking bout photography to the bloke in there. Anyway he was certain that for those 'moment' shots when you have not got your SLR with you this camera phone would be perfect. I thought he was just 'on the sell.' I have a K750 which is good but looking at these shots the quality is brilliant. Makes a big difference to the size of your kit bag if you got a little backup like the K800.
One thing that bugged me though is the fact that it did not come with a memory card. Anyone else miffed by this?
