orders some bits and bobs from screwfix and they attempted to deliver them, i was out at work so dispite delivery instructions given via screwfix of "please deliver to number 11 if unavailable" they go and deliver the parcel to number 9 (i live at number 10) this wouldnt be a problem if my neighbours werent more than likely ilegal imigrants (i presume this due to the fact that the house appears to vacate itself one day and be replenished by another group of non english speaking people the next) so when i went round to collect my parcel i was met with a complete look of "eh what you on about" and dispite me showing them the parcelforce delivery note she didnt say a word and shut the door on me.

more annoying was the two screwfix boxes leant against the wall behind her....

now ive just got to hope someone in the house speaks english when i go around later on so i can get my bits and bobs back!

Only one answer as I can see .... Call the police if you get no joy.

Take a sly shot of the goods inside with a camera phone etc if you go back round and get no response.

Sod taking a sly shot, i would knock on the door with the camer in hand and fire a few off straight away after having the door shut in my face.

They haven't got the nickname of 'parcel farce' for nothing :(

If you don't have any joy, I'd deffo give the local police a ring, you never know they might be interested.

Parcel Farce indeed, instead of delivering my package to Loughborough, Leicestershire. they sent it to Wathamstow. thats only 118 miles out mind you the names do sound similar.

Parcel Farce once lost a gearbox for my vauxhaul combi van it was sent out of the izuzu plant strapped to 4ft pallet and was never seen again, I kid you not..anyway if I were in your position I would also ring the police if they refuse to give you your parcels...also tell screwfix that thier courier left your goods with squatters at an address in your vicinity and can they chase it up for you before you stop payment for non reciept of goods.

managed to get the parcel back last night, using the international language of pointing and not taking no for an answer

Now go and take them something to say thank you for keeping it, that way maybe next time you won't have a problem :)

Am I the only person thinking your missing a trick here?

You a have proof that the mail man left the parcel else where, call screw fix and tell them your delivery is missing and that you have proof the parcel was delivered elsewhere who claim not to have had it.

they'll send out another package and bill royal fail,

you'll get new kit you can sell on the bay ;)
