View Full Version : Hasselblad commences shipping H4D Ferrari Limited Edition, announces stainless steel

Hasselblad has announced that its H4D Ferrari Limited Edition medium format digital camera, comprised of an HC 2.8/80mm lens, glass-topped display case and H4D-40 finished in Ferrari red and featuring the Ferrari logo, is now available for purchase at a price of 21,499 Euros (plus tax). A total of 499 units are to be produced. The company has also unveiled the H4D-40 Stainless Steel, a version of the camera whose body surfaces are not painted, thereby revealing the stainless steel used in various exterior pieces. I don't think I could take anybody seriusly who nthey were holding a Ferrari Hasselblad!

Any functioning camera that comes with a display case is wrong.

But I do like the stainless steel one....

the stainless one is fantastic, if i shot 'blads i would have one, but i dont haha

Agreed - the stainless one is sensible and durable but the red is just pandering to collectors. You see versions of the 500 Series with red, green and yellow leather options and gold plating being offered for sale and they've invariably never been used - pretty sad.
