Hi everyone,
I want to get some of my transparencies drum scanned but would like to clean them first. Can anybody recommend a cleaning solution?
Thanks

Well pos or negs I've always used warm soapy water...so I too would like to know if there is anything better.

Photographic Emulsion Cleaner (http://www.cameraclean.co.uk/product-detail.php?cat=11&product=117&desc=PEC+12+Photographic+Emulsion+Cleaner+%28118ml %29+Spray) - archival standard print and film cleaning solution.
PEC-12 removes grease pencil, adhesive residue, finger oils, ball-point pen, fungus, smoke & soot damage, laser separation oil and most permanent inks.

erm but quite a few of my old negs/pos seem to have thingies, bogies or whatever stuck on, this product seems to just be for stains and surface dust...
There's a film cleaner made by Fotospeed that's suitable for cleaning negs.
Soapy water could be OK as long as you rewash the film well afterwards.
If they are dirty why not just clone out the marks after scanning?
