Up at 3 am as the sunrise was supposed to be after 4 am and there was a walk of around 50 min , for me anyway and i couldn`t really remember the exact way there , especially walking with a head torch and clear starry sky.

Finally arrived at the place only to find out that the ground was completely covered with dampness , so much so that there was no dry place to lay the camera bag.
You can actually see the dew drops in the fg.

The first light and after setting the tripod for the wanted composition (which changed to accommodate the sun`s position), wasn`t very promising , so much for getting up early i thought , just an average sunrise with no much going on.
How little did i know , as soon as the sun started coming up from behind the mountains , the whole area started being covered with a fine mist rising from the wet ground as the sun warmed up the surface of the earth and turned the green grass into a orange/red glow.

Now it was my turn , you cann`t imagine the excitement , like a kid in a kandy store , grabbed a few shots while the whole experience lasted and i must say that it was very short lived , talking about being one with nature eh ???
I hope you enjoy the experience as much as i did.

That is a beautiful photo. Have you got others worth posting that you took at the same time? I'd love to see more.

Great stuff!

A strong argument for the use of 50 ISO (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=27825)!

IMO probably one of the best shots I have seen posted in a long time. Well worth the trek! Print it, hang it or even sell it!

Very nice. Have you thought of doing some dodging on it to see what its like with more detail in the foreground? I don't mean a huge amount, just a bit.

I was there less than 2 weeks ago. we walked halfway and the weather was deteriorating so never actually got there. It was mid morning and I think it would have looked very ordinary had we continued in those conditions.

You've made it look magical.

Very nice capture, bit too much foreground for my taste. It seems to sit a bit better in an almost panoramic format?

ISO50 plus small aperture. Hmmmm. I know that recipe.:)

Plus full/frame. Good so far and of course the final ingredient

If we had a rating system this would be a '5 stars' from me!

I really really do liek this shot - Must be the 3rd of 4th time I have come back to it. For those who haven't click on the full sized version, it really does make a difference.
