Taken at El Chorro southern Spain.
This is a straight shot with only a slight levels tweak and a little Hue & Saturation.
It was taken from the road above the lake,i used the Tree to add some foreground interest. I would have loved to have gone down to the lake but, i was just passing through, and didnt get the chance to stop at the place for long. The light was always changing and in an hour the place would so different. I think i will go back to this place one day as i think it has a magical look to it. To me it has a look of fantasy world like you see in movies. And talking of movies, the film Von Ryan's Express, was filmed here. And can you see the walkway that is round the mountain, and then up to the bridge with the waterfall.

Had a problem with the size when uploading, so sorry it's a bit small.

Been there, got the T-shirt, done most of the walk (cant do the bit around the edge as its fallen away), the river was a muddy brown, and there were no clouds in the sky.

On the whole your shot is better than mine. :sulk:

Couldnt you just move over to the right a tad ;)
Shame the greenery on the left is obscuring the water.
Must have been an awsome experience.

No complaints from me. Well executed shot. Good feel and love the colours through the gorge.

I went climbing at chorro many years ago. These are some very poor quality scans of 35mm prints.

There is a railway line that runs up the right hand side of the gorge in Papa's shot and the walkway starts on the right and then crosses the 'bridge' you can see and continues up the left hand side.

This shot is of the railway cutting through higher up the gorge. Taken mainly because there is a famous climb that goes up the buttress in the centre of the shot.

This is taken from the railway line across the gorge. I think they have stopped people doing it now but then to access the railway side you just walked along the track and stood to one side when the trains went past; was a bit unnerving in the tunnels until you got used to it :) Climbs went both up and down from the walkway.

This is another shot looking across to the walway. If you look very closely at the central 'groove' there is a pale line connecting the walkway. This we nicknamed the 'Indiana Jones' bridge and was just a bridge of concrete, 1.5-2 feet wide, 15-20 feet long with no handrail.

The walkway was fun but unfortunately was in poor repair. The authorities had actually tried destroying the start (at the right of Papa's shot) to stop people using it. This left a section with no walkway as such, just the section of railway track which was the structure running a few feet out from the cliff. You just had to shuffle along this holding a cable bolted to the cliff.

These are a sequence of me climbing and falling off taken by a friend.

I Couldnt move over to the right or i would have fell down into the water from the road above. The shot taken is all i could do, wish i could have gone down to the water.
