Nice pic and a double rainbow!!! Could maybe do with darkening those clouds a little to make them stand out.

Just admiring your screen name. Whereabouts you from mate?

I am based in Altrincham.

Cheers.

Aha... used to live in Hale until the age of 15, and so still make occasional visits to Moss Lane :) ... I'm in Cumbria now, though.

Re: darkening the clouds... how would you suggest I do that. I'm a bit of a novice with Photoshopping photos... when I try to darken them the foreground also darkens. If I try to create a mask of the entire sky and darken that, it doesn't seeem to look natural, particularly where the rainbow crosses the horizon..

Thanks for any tips.

I played around with the burn tool in Photoshop and achieved this:

Have I overdone it?

Any comments on the darkened sky...? I'd like to get an idea for whether I'm doing this right! :)

Thanks...

The sky is definitely better but I think it emphasises the oversaturated foreground - but that's just my opinion and I'm rubbish as landscapes;) and complete novice !!

You have certainly darkened the clouds :) A lot of the question of how much to darken them is down to personal taste, and I quite like the clouds you have created :) The field does look a bit overly green though.

I played with it a bit more but don't really know if I'm doing the right thing or using the correct tools, so any tips appreciated!
