Please tell me what you like and what not, etc...

Thanks
No 1 is lovely - superb colours against the black background & nice & sharp. Like the second one, but if it was me I'd have cropped the bottom image & lost the blurred one at the top. Very nice!
Very nice indeed, but could still sharpen up a tad? Have you done any post processing sharpening? As I think a touch of USM would work wonders!

Number 1.....
I think it might have been better more directly from above....but only because the sepals are a bit distracting (the pale green tiny leaves folding backwards) and the foliage looks to have yellowing leaves. The side light is a touch bit bright perhaps?
Number 2...
I like the lower flower head a lot...I would have cropped tight onto it and ignored the one in the background.

Thanks all
The little white flowers are VERY small but yes, will rather focus on one cluster.
As for the rose it was late afternoon light. I used a black reflector for a backdrop and bounced gold back to balance the sunlight - hence the gold light on the lower green leaves.
Will keep trying!

PS
Have used a bit of usm but want to experiment more with neutral vs midrange in-camera sharpening.
Cheers
