Review section

In the review section what about something like the Fred Miranda site for small user reviews of equipment, where a new review section is made listing cameras, lens, tripods, tripod heads etc by model and you fill in a template type thing for pros cons value for money etc and a short comments section

Its an easy to search resource and has valuable information in it, but needs to restricted in as much you fill out a pre defined form for your entry to appear,

We should still keep the review section we have as well, just make the new one for cameras, lens, acessories made bt manufacturesrs, tripods, heads etc

our intention was to build up a good catalogue of reviews, but as is always the way with us we havent, lol, but if members review their own stuff, we can do a template of sorts or a layout and have threads with the products, if we get lots, we can categorise it. Personally i dont want to copy FredMirandha, i know we could get a similar thing here, but we want to try and be a bit different...

hmmm, might be good, FM is a good resource but tends to be very US biased and not always relevent in things like prices.

Prices will never be relevant as they always change, but FM's review system is the best there is on any photography forum.

The review section here has good reviews but loads of follow up pointless posts , not contributing to the review, just making the thread longer.

its something we can look at and discuss, im not sure we would go the way of FM, others have done similar and IMHO its just ripping off FM, we want to be a little different. Leave it with us...
