LOL :) the red panda was a little b***** lol kept hiding ! was trying hard to not to get any man made stuff in the pic, but had to give in !
Thanks for the comments :)
What immediately jumps out about these pictures are that they all (apart from one) look as though the animals have been photographed in their natural habitat, that had a hugh amount of impact and makes the pictures look natural.
The first few where the animals are lying in the tall grass really demonstrate this point well, you timing by capturing the animals with their faces looking forward is another essential element that you have maintained.
A great set of images, well done mate you have give me even more desire to get to the zoo and see if I can match the quality of pictures that you have shown here. :thumb:
red pandas are very hard to get, i managed to get a good set at Port |Lympne as the keeper had just laid the food out and the greedy bastids had to come down to get it!

Praise indeed ! :) :innocent:
I always try incredibly hard to not get anything man made in the picture, in fact this time at the Zoo i took so few pictures, but also threw none away ! Whereas last time i went i took about 300 and threw half in the bin ! Is one of the things i am picking up on here, be selective when shooting :)
You would not believe how hard that bloody Lion was to get a pic of ! they were asleep the whole time we were there ! It sat up for about 30 seconds, i snapped it, it bloody layed down again ! lol Oh and the Lion was shot through glass !

I met a couple at Whipsnade who obviously go a lot, they said the best time for the Red Pandas was at 6:15pm ! just before the park closed ! as they all came out and were waltzing around on the floor of their enclosure ! I also liked taking them as there is no fence in the way at all ! :)
