i think your jpg settings are really spoiling your photos.
what setting do you have it on? I normally have mine set to 8 for web, yours looks like about 5
I think the crops are a bit too tight (assuming they are cropped lol ;)) - it would be nice to see some room from the cars to drive into, makes the shot more pleasing on the eye

Sorry that has gone straight over my head .
How do I adjust settings. My camera by the way isn't a DSLR just a Panasonic DMC-FZ5 which does allow for some manual settings.
Just a few more while I'm here.

sorry about the overheadness :)
are the photos taken straight from the camera and uploaded, or have you used some software to save them?
The photos are cropped using a simple software that came free with a scanner I had, then resized using the free version from www.ShowYourPhotos.com, so I can then upload them to the gallery.
I have Photoshop CS but no idea how to use it. That goes straight over my head too at the moment.

i would guess that one or both of those software has a setting in it for changing the jpeg quality. should go from 0-10 or 0-12. move it up to about 8 and see the difference in the output.
it could also be a setting on your camera for jpeg quality, something like fine or superfine or something like that
this is one photo set to 8

same photo set to about 4

This one is straight from the camera onto the pc and resized with quality setting on 90%, default setting is 70%

It does, doesn't it, one or two of the others are definitely suffering from a bit much compression.
Can you get it back to the pits? We may be able to fix it and get you back out.

Obviously not Lewis H. He would've kept the engine running! :)
