Blind Ant

Just after taking the shot of the sunflower I noticed that another was being ravaged by some ants. Saw this one with just it's head sticking over the petal, and it wasn't until I looked on the pc that it appears to be blind. Not the best shot in the world now I look at it, but they are tiny! I take it that it's a drone(?). Been cropped quite heavily and a bit of USM added.

I don't think it's blind. I think what you are seeing there is the reverse end of the Ant. the direction of the hairs should give you a clue - and the lack of antennae.
