This shot was taken on my hols and is a square crop as the whole image did not quite sit right (too much wall). The original colours were....kind of straightforward really... so I decided to PP it and see where it went. This is the result which I am kind of pleased with. Except I now wish the windows were ajar. But Hey ho.......
Comments, criticism, questions and jolly funny remarks always welcome.

I never know what to do with images like this either Gary.
I have one very similar taken of a window of Shakespears house, roses all around it were all white & (some blown) so I gave mine a sepia tone.
Rather than open windows, I think yours would have been better if you'd knocked on the door and asked them if theyd mind taking down the nets for a while! ;)
Beautiful! needs framing.
and I like your edit too Rich. :)

Hell no! A good version. I was thereabouts at one point but brought it back to a softer darker look as this was my preference.
Please post up your methods for others to see what you have done.

It's the original I like, real mysterious like
Thanks gary,
I used paintshop pro and CS2,In paintshop i used the auto correct feature then the claify tool then opened it in cs2 and adjusted the selective colour to bring out the reds and greens and the wooden window frame. then i think i jumped back to pp and clafied it once more  I think thats how i did it:thumbs: oh and put the boarder on with jpgcompressor.
