I guess we all have our favourite subjects.
I began shooting dead flowers about 6 years ago and over that time it has become my "signature subject" I'm currently working on a book and an exhibition (hence the lack of dead flower shots on my site - I'm keeping them in reserve) I think that as a subject it has a lot to say about traditional perceptions of beauty and youth. It says that all things are in a state of transition from brith to death and onwards to another state. (there's a lot more to it than that but again, that's for the book.)
