1 and 2 remind me of a couple of Cartier-Bresson shots. I like No 2 with the women all equidistant as you look into the shot.
They're a might soft, but signs of a good eye there Jamie. :)
You will probably do better if you resize them to 800 pixels so they can show in the thread - lazy bunch here ;)
I don't like mono so my comments would be biased :)
But anyway...
1. It's a staircase that leads your eye to... nothing. Needs a subject. Staircase itself is not enough.
2. really don't like this one. Burnt out sky and solid black shadows. Strange panorama crop.
3. best of the bunch. Might have been better a step or two to the left but the road leads you in and the people give some interest.
4. is kind of OK and I can even see why it might be presented in mono. Not sure you are getting the best detail from the brickwork.

Do you mean #3? (did you notice #2 ? :) )
:thinking:have to agree with robert on these i think " for me " he has hit the nail on the head on each shot...
 and i like mono's
Its no 3 for me gives the feeling of a little Spannish back street we have all walked down at some time

I love the complexity of the lines in 4, would have loved to see a shot of just the roof maybe?
3 and 4 I like :).
3 could do without the lamp at the top, and as RobertP said maybe a step or two to the left to draw me in a little more.
4 I like in a smaller size but it doesn't seem to have the detail for a larger size/print. Personally (because it has a lot of promise) I would go back with a tripod and shoot focused on the front window, with a smaller depth of field. Then probably do some dodging/burning in PS. Nice image though.
