cheers Geordi. Yer i prefer the 1st too. I think there is not enough DOF/ The centre peice of corn in focus.

I like the first one inparticular. I think it would certainly benefit from a levels / curves adjustment.

If you pop into your UserCP > Edit Profile (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/profile.php?do=editprofile) and tick the last option, I can have a play with it and show you what I mean :)

I think I got a bit carried away :embarrassed:

But you can see what I mean. The tonal ranges in your shot did spread across the full range (despite what I thought at first), but I couldnt help think it could do with the foreground lightening a bit and some more contrast in the sky.

Sorry if you don't like what Ive done (Visions of "Changing Rooms" style "OMG WHATS HE DONE????") lol

Dunno, that's quite a subtle change marcel.

You haven't quite painted it bright orange and covered evrything with MDF lol!

It could've done with slightly more DoF though, the focus seems to be in the right place, guess the Ap wasn't small enough?

1st shot for me too, agree with both Marcel & Gandhi on their comments but it's a very nice shot to build from, very nicely done

Yeah that has improved it but i think the foreground now looks too light. The sky though is much better, thanks for the guidance.

Good shots Tank. I prefer #1 as there are a number of things to draw the eye along the corn. Sky is better after Marcel tweaked it, but agree the foreground is a bit bright. Correct me if I am wrong, but #1 gives me the impression of the horizon dipping to the left? or is it just the way the corn curves around

#2 Have to agree with you that the centre corn should be lighter and pin sharp to make the image pop. Well done anyway.

yeah it is. Also the field goes round behind the bush on the left.
