We got back last night from a week in Devon staying at a place just outside Exmouth. I'd like to say we had a good time but our 'site' was the pits, it was a Haven holiday (now re-named Chaven) and the place was all football shirts and chip fat. :gag:

Fortunately the weather gods were smiling on us as we had glorious sunshine for most of the week which gave us ample opportunity to get out and about. The first day we visited the Donkey Sanctuary (http://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/site/1/home.html) just outside Devon where they are currently looking after about 380 donkeys. The boys ended up adopting one which is used for riding for the disabled.

Or like this....

From there it was onto the Wiscombe Park Hillclimb (http://www.wiscombepark.co.uk/) which we came across almost by accident. There were some very quick cars there and metering was a nightmare as most of the track was in deep shade from the tree canopy.

This guy in the Porsche was very quick:

This 'Mini' was even quicker....

And as for this Puma, carbon fibre throughout and 600bhp! :cuckoo:

One of my relatives (great aunt's husband ish) lives literally down the same road as the sanctuary. I used to stay with them quite a lot when I was younger.

Nice donkey shots.

The donkey shots are really nice.

The motorsport ones are good (means, excellent) too - sharp enough, but the Golf's windscreen is a bit (means a lot) blown. Which is a shame because the rear wheel's rather attractively up in the air.

Welcome back to the real world and a nice set Colin ... ... shame about the site ... http://www.myspacedev.com/img/smilies/sign/sign0171.gif ... but good that the weather sort of made up for it ... :D

Can make or break a holiday from the start can't it ...

But didn't you mean Chavs Holiday Camp rather than Chavens ... :suspect:
