Hi guys.

I would like you to answer this and then forget I asked, cos I'm not sure I can live with the embarrassment :D

I have a Nikon d70, I'm going to buy the
70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G AF-S VR IF. I'm almost completely certain that it will all work ok but I just thought I'd check first :help:

There. That wasn't so hard :embarrassed::embarrassed:

Thanks :)

Cheers. I didn't want to buy it and have to send it back!

Very much looking forward to getting it...Trying to photograph birds with a 18-70mm lens is slightly annoying! "Come on little birdy, just land on my hand...No, come back! D'oh!"

You'll find that all the autofocus lenses will work on your camera ewan. Notably type G and type D lenses. The ones that wont work are the older non-cpu lenses as there is no connection to tell the camera what the maximum aperture/focal length are.

have a look at THIS (http://www.nikonians.org/nikon/slr-lens.html) very useful chart to see which will and wont work ;)
