...a few pics I am brave enough to show, though the ones I still don't want you to see are on my Flickr!

Sorry there are a few.

Well I certainly think the one with the Bee is excellent although I can't put my finger on why but I don't like the last photo... I'm just a beginner though so my opinion is purely on what they look like not any technical aspect.

#1 The wasp/bee does very little for me, too much emphasis on the OOF flower head, which has overpowering highlights, but I do like the way youve shot the subjects against the black bg, really brings out the colours.

#2 I like the security light for the angle & the way the side lighting brings out the texture/pattern of the brickwork.

#3 I like the soft pale tones of the child, the motion blur seems quite fitting.

#4 Love the starkness of the railings against the moody sky.

#5 Nice shot but personally I would clone/tidy the crease? in the bg. Perhaps also exaggerate the catchlights in the eyes, they look a little too pin-sized.

#6 I really love the colours in this one but my preferrence would have been for the cloud to have been in focus, then again ... I think I like it as is!

Nice set there... and all jmho of course.

Thank you both, must admit I find I love something when I first take it and then with progressing opinions/time I find things about them that either a) I never noticed and enjoy or b) bug the hell out of me and I end up hating the damn things - but it's taken me a year to show anyone pics so hopefully in another years time I'll have progressed once more.

Thanks all.

PS: I never noticed the line in the portrait - OK i knew it was there but you know what I mean - and now it bugs the hell outta me! Thanks  ;)

I like the detail on the bee in #1, but as glo mentioned the highlights detract from the shot for me.

#4 is my fav, nice moody clouds.

Number 2 is the one for me, i like the composisition and the shadows. Number one looks to photoshopped for my taste.
