Took this photo the other day. I quite like this, and I think the composition is good, but would it benefit from a greater depth of field so that the women in the background are in focus?

Not sure if it would be better with the background more in focus or not, maybe with a plainer background and the dog just as it is, tiny and lost in the vastness of it.

actually its the tiny dog in the vastness that makes it kinda sweet!! :D

not technically correct i know... but i like it.

I agree with Janice and imo it would increase the 'ahhhhh' factor if the bench had been empty - to give a sort of 'I'm waiting for my human' caption. Don't suppose you could have shouted 'boo' and frightened the women off  Would ps-ing them out be cheating

But nice pic of a sweet litle dog. - if he's lost I'd give him a home!

Thanks all for your comments.

It appears, from your comments, that the photo does seem to work. It was a quick snap shot as the dog came running over to play with my dog then stopped half way unsure of himself.

Sorry jeangenie, thats his owners sat on the bench.

I think it's great just as it is. The oof people in the background ties the dog to them and tells the story - he's run over to investigate that person pointing that strange one-eyed object. :)
