I remember you using a similar title back a month or so ago to grab attention!! HERE (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=27488)
I like this one better though!
Lovely colour but the two in-focus blooms are fighting to be the focal point for me. This might have been one where you needed to get in closer and concentrate on one of them?
Heh, the wife called my stuff 'rose porn' and the name sort of stuck. She won't let me take pictures of naked ladies :)

Yeah, I agree with that, but I like the framing and maybe just a slightly bigger depth of field just to bring that right hand flower fully in to focus would make it stand out a tad more for me.

Well, I've got another from the same set where I did that, but I sort of like the dynamic thing that's going on there, so the tension between the two focus points seemed to work better for me. As always though, tastes and opinions vary a lot :)
Is it porn or is it rose erotica??
well if the petals are open.......
I kind of like it the way it is too. Though I do think it would benefit greatly if the leaves in the bottom right corner weren't present ;) Did you do some PP work on the colours? I quite like the effect!

The colours are down to the rose and maybe the lens that I used, a 135/2 DC. Designed for portraits but ace for roses.
