the colours and exposure are great. My biggest pet peeve is that in the 2nd you cut off her ears. I think it had the making of a great one coulda seen it on a greeting card or something. If she's hospitable give it another go.

No1 - The face is quite under exposed but the fur in the bottom right is very over exposed. I'm assuming you had light coming in from behind the cat which has caused this problem. The crop / framing is a bit too tight too for my liking - it would look better with the ears in the shot.

No2 - This one works much better  Again it's a shame you've cropped off his ear but otherwise a well composed shot. He really looks like he's about to spring into action :)

Both shots could do with some sharpening too btw ;)

Many thanks as always for the comments guys :)

On the first one, you are spot on Grendel, it was a very sunny late afternoon and the light was coming from behind the cat on the right hand side, as for the framing, this cat is insanely friendly and I spent about 20 minutes running from one side of the decking to the other trying to get a shot before he caught up and demanded to be nuzzled again!

Agree on the overexposure on the white fur though, will see if there is anything else that I can do to tone that down :)

On the 2nd one, you are both right, it really is a shame that the ear got cut off, but it was quite a spontaneous shot and had little time to get him framed properly as he likes to fidget....

As mentioned though, he is extremely friendly and personally I think he is a very photogenic little furball so I will try and arrange a more planned shoot in the near future :)

* will work on sharpening aswell as on review I see what you mean and he could look a bit sharper
