So I am a new member of Flickr and have been since January of this year.
I am only really starting to get to grips with the site and would like some advice on getting the most out of it.
I have a pro account if that makes a difference.
What is the best way to maximise views/comments of my photos?
Comment on others, add to groups, tag them correctly. Thats about it.

Do you mean adding my photos to groups?
Also any tips on tagging?

To add to this I would also suggest making contacts on flickr, a pay more attention to my contacts photos than most of my groups photos

Thanks for the help!
How do I go about "adding" contacts from here for example?

I'm certainly no expert on Flickr (as a quick glance at the number of views on my photos will show ) but if you look at people's posts or profiles you'll see links, and then you just add them as a contact - the key thing is that unlike (say) Facebook they don't have to agree first:bonk:...!

You would be better adding contacts of those that have similar interests. For example if you shoot mainly landscapes, and you add contacts that shoot mainly wildlife, you will be less likely to receive comments from them.
Like every other site, you will receive more attention if your photo's stand out. That could be viewed as one of the Flickr challenges:D
