Hi Guys.

Im quite new on here but I seem to be experiencing a few problems with my Canon Ixus 75 which ive just purchased, when I plug the ixus into my notebook running Windows XP it does'nt mount, I went onto the Canon website and downloaded the latest camera twain driver 6.7.0 but as it was installing it said "TWAIN driver file for Windows XP not found. Exit the installation"..... what does this mean? Is there something wrong with my notebook or do I need to download some software?

Hope someone can help me.

Thx.

Try plugging it into another computer. It should just show up as another drive without any software I'd have thought.
Card readers are quite cheap and are a better solution to get your pictures on the computer anyway so it might be an idea to get one and avoid the problem.

Welcome to the forums :)

Hi Robert.

Thx for your advice, yes I did try plugging it into another computer and it worked fine, it just mounted onto the hard drive as another drive. I dont understand what is wrong, am I missing some driver or plug-in for my pc?

Thx :)

Just one of those things that happen! You might even find it will work on a different USB socket on the notebook.

I really wouldn't bother. A card reader is small, no cables to mess with and often faster too.
