While the D3 is the star of today's Nikon announcements, the D300 has the potential to steal the show. It incorporates the same 51-area autofocus system, 3-inch (diagonal), 920,000-dot rear LCD, Picture Control options, 14-bit A/D conversion, LiveView, HDMI video out, AF calibration adjustment, UDMA CompactFlash card support, real-time lateral chromatic aberration correction, Active D-Lighting, compatibility with the new WT-4A transmitter and more.

Well I do too but I would have to replace my 17-55 2.8 DX with the 17-35 2.8 and it's just not gonna happen

In all honesty, what I can see happening is me saving up for a fair while, and waiting for the prices on second hand D2Xs to fall.:)

With that size sensor and the photosite size/density I should think so..... anyway, what noise?
