After what seems to be an eternity, just had confirmed that my 70-200 f2.8G AF-VR should be with me Tuesday or Wednesday. :thumbs:

But guess what, forecast predicts rain both days.:thumbsdown:

Daftbugga, The lens might be ok but I don't think my D80 is. As for taking it to bed, don't know if the wife would be too happy.

Can't really, she was the one kind enough to let me order it in the first place. I didn't think the D80 was as weather resistant as the D100 or D200.

New toy arrived yesterday morning. First impressions, BIG, reassuringly HEAVY and a spectacularly impressive piece of kit.

Not had a chance to "play" yet. Hopefully I'll be able to give it a workout this weekend.
