Today was yet another beautiful, warm, sunny day here at home. Nice white clouds dotted about the sky - ideal for a spot of landscape photography I thought. Where better than a ride out west to Ladybower reservoir I thought. With the sun still beating down all was fine until I get to the west side of Sheffield - low cloud appeared, not just low cloud but the sort that may as well be mist and fog :( Well, I'd come all this way I thought so I'd better have a go at getting some shots.

Didn't stay too long due to the lack of sun and the flaming midges that were attacking me. The sun did shine once or twice through the clouds but not that often. And yes you've guessed it, by the time I went back through Sheffield, the sun was back out and the sky was magnificent for photography. Anyway, here are a few from today......

And this one is the Ladybower bridge - finally receiving a bit of sunlight...

I know not everyone is going to say this but I love the first one. It has no real focal point but it's a lovely, peaceful scene that I'd like to be able to step right into.
Lovely shades of green, perfect.

:agree:

A lovely cool spot to shelter on a hot summers day. Sometimes, you just don't need a focal spot....the whole tells the story.

I also like the classic last one.....great light.

I really like the last one mate. Exposed well considering the difference in brightness in different areas of the image. Interesting subject matter and nice and sharp. The sky needs something a little extra though imo, but I cant put my finger on what :(

Good shots mate :)
