Dunno if anyone else thinks the same, or if my reasoning is sound and valid, but I would have had the statue at the other side of the frame so the figures look across and into the picture, maybe also just a bit bigger too...

yeah I took another one from a different angle but sadly the light was very strong. So this is more of a silhouette

It's a poignant memorial, that's for sure. Great b/w conversion on the first one, bust I'd agree with rezee about the placement of the statues in the frame.

It's at Spean Bridge, for those wondering......

Another possible for those on the Scottish meet, it's about 20-25 miles from Glencoe I think.

Love the image, but have to agree with reezeh.
I have stood at this memorial along side a veteran, he was proud i was almost in tears. a very striking memorial.

This is a good picture of an often seen subject (at least up here in the Highlands). I know the difficulty of getting here when there are no tourists (forget it in the summer!) so you have made the best of what you had.

A local tog has a great B&W with the Nevis Range in the background and sunbursts on the monument. This really is a beautiful site.

Cool thanks. Yeah loads of tourists taking the tourist pictures. The same pictures you will look at once and never again. They all got in the way. So took a couple of pics above people's head. There was a man standing beside it saying nothing and his wife/partner or whatever just videoing him. He never moved...very odd strange thing for a video but if that's what they want on their video good for them.
