This is a shot from my recent trip to the New Forest, I was hoping to get a few good sunrise/sunset shots but there were none to be found (or at least I couldn't find them:thinking:). I got this instead, 11pm at night and the mist was rolling in, a little too black?

C&C welcomed

Interesting. It could be brighter, but I think it's the darkness that makes this shot different.
I might crop a little of the bottom, not much, though.

It is a little dark, but it has a comforting yet eerie feel to it that I like.

I like that a lot, well apart from the weird blue bit by the moon!

Thanks, I was hoping to get a bit of eeriness to it, I did want to get a landscape version but the fog thickened a lot just after that shot was taken and I lost the bush in the foreground.

It was taken across Balmer lawn, a moorland bit just north of Brockenhurst, we camped in the campsite next to it so it was just a short walk onto the moor for some photo fun. :D

I'll see if I can remove the blue bit on the moon and have a look at cropping it too, I never really think to crop any of my images, it's probably something I should think about more. Would some sort of fill flash across the bottom possibly make it look a little better by removing the blackness at the bottom? I try not to use flash as I don't really know how to use it, but I know I need to start using it sometime.

taken about 10mins from where I live. I think trying the flash would be a case of experimenting and seeing how it comes out. I have a feeling that it will be difficult to get a good balance between the flash and the natural light.
